Exercising regularly on your own or as part of group is advised as part of a healthy lifestyle. Whilst exercise is known to have numerous benefits it is recommended that anyone restarting exercise seeks guidance from their GP before starting.
WHY has created some online and in person groups for people to engage in moderate to vigorous intensity exercise. It is recommended that the average person complete up to 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week.
WHY has developed exercise groups to engage people people from a wide range of abilities with tiered activity. Sessions are designed to include those who may be confident with their movement as well as those who may require introductory guidance.
WHY exercise I hear you say
Exercise using your own body weight can lead to improve strength, balance and flexibility which can improve quality of life
Exercising with others can improve your physical and mental health
Exercise is recognised as a way to meet new people and engage with your community
Some form of exercise is recommended everyday or almost everyday as part of a health lifestyle
A combination of moderate or vigorous exercise for between 75 and 150 minutes per week is recommended
